I'm grasping at straws here to present the illusion that I did something productive this week. After a beautiful warm Saturday, the weather went south, or should I say "north". It was mostly cold this week. I got out a couple times to do small things. I glued up some oak to make the teeny countertop for the head. I had one board of what I call "wormy oak". It came from the pallets we took apart and had lots of character: small worm holes. In order to make it wide enough, I had to glue in a non wormy piece of oak. to it. Budgetboater and I played around it and manufactured some holes using a finishing nail and a magic marker. The top board is the non wormy one that we doctored. I rounded the front and softened the edge So that's how it will look. I kicked around a lot of ideas for this top: tile, corian, etc. I think the oak will be nice. I also cut out some pieces of 18 mm ply to raise the height of the toilet. After living with a composting toilet for a few months, I decided to install a Lavac toilet in the boat. I won't go into any detail into the decision making process. I did a bunch of small things, mostly gluing oak strips in the galley. This is mostly uninteresting as it's more pictures of a bunch of clamps. How many pictures of clamps can you stand??? I had one good day this week and now the weather is cold again. I'll probably watch football (American) today. I once described this sport as "A bunch of fat guys dancing together so that one guy can dance alone." Rest in peace Phil. Thank you for the music. When I was younger (much), I got a my first clock radio. The first time it went off to wake me it played "Wake Up Little Susie". The concept of "Blood Harmony" is never better illustrated than listening to the Everly Brothers. Hmmmmm, why did I choose "Cathy's Clown"?
