'Nother Week 'Round The Ol' Boat Yard

When building a boat you must trust your innate abilities. "Urinate abilities? I have that" I said. So off we went on the quest of the construction of a lime green dream that's not a dream. It is a reality that took an immense amount of time and money. Dreams are for dreamers and non-accomplishers.

Oh, barf, It's mass delusion see Orson Wells.

I started the week finishing..........huh? I worked on the motor cowls this week. The weather was threatening to do something, which it did later that day. I coated the interior of the cowls with some rubberized coating stuff. I didn't use that stuff advertised on TV, as the other brand was 4 bucks cheaper and a smaller can large enough...............huh? It was a can that was enough to do both cowl interiors. It looked pretty good.

I bought a can of spray paint with a fancy color name for "black" and gave the two cowls a coat of paint. I think it's supposed to be kinda metallic............."carbon mist" I think. A couple days later, they got another coat. Not perfect, but a lot better.

I worked on the control panel. I coated it front and back with epoxy and filled in the huge blowouts that chipped out when I drilled the holes. Am I happy with it? It'll do I guess.

Then I got rained out for the day. The next day was a rain day, too. I spent a couple hours sitting in a comfy chair in the library reading my book. God bless rain days. They allow me to do what I should be doing instead of building a boat.

I mean it really rained. Sky pyrotechnics, gosh awful wind and everything. When I got back to the boat yard on Wednesday, I discovered that my wood panel had floated away, along with other pieces of wood. I found the stuff at varying distances from the boat.

This bucket blew over and the contents drifted off in the flood. I think I retrieved it all. Some pieces were 100+' away.
The rest of the week was spent fiddling with the motors. A state of mind involving calm, a Zen state, acceptance of the possibility of failure and the liberal use of bowelship language produced something that will have to be taken apart again and tweaked again with liberal amounts of bowelship language.

Oh yeah, Phyllis showed up. You remember Phyllis, don't you? What is it with upholstery people? Rocky was the same way. Randomness is their modus operandi. Excuses are their mantra. She said she stopped by and I wasn't there. It was raining. I think I'm supposed to stand in the rain and hope she may show up. She will be here Monday she says. I hope it doesn't rain.

So that's it, You two guys should read an interesting blog this week. One that has that skinny girl in the bikini.
