I have hit the wall. I can no longer procrastinate. Everything I am doing at this point could be done better on the water. I told the yard guys to pencil me into their date book. The delay is due to the weather. I need need to lift the boat and put bottom paint on the spots where the supports are. It looks like Monday will be good. I contacted the marina, They are happy to have me (they need the money). I have set a goal: The Port Aransas Wooden Ply Boat show April 12th weekend. The weather has been uncooperative. My new computer is uncooperative. We will launch as close to the only day of the year that is a command: March forth! The boat yard is having a celebration of my launch. It starts 3 weeks after I leave, in case I come back. I'm not invited. Do I know what I'm doing? Nope. I must find out.
Lots of people want to help and have offered assistance. My stubborn nature is such that I need to learn this stuff on my own. Ben says I should let them help. Always the dichotomy exists.
And a big thankya to David B-Smith for his bon mots. There was never a doubt that I would finish. People are impressed that I built this boat. I always remind them that I am 1/3 rd the work force. I cannot claim credit alone.
I went to the Mardi Gras parade tonight and the bon temps were rolling.

I painted over the schmutz. I am assuming you can distinguish between the before and after pictures.
I climbed a stepladder holding the 30+ pound wind generator and wrestled it up four times. The pucker factor registered 3.4 on the rectum scale. I had to enlist the aid of Nat to feed the wire at the bottom. It's up and spinning. I'm down and reeling.
And Phyllis-yourememberPhyllisdon'tyou put up the front panel. In 3 days, it will be 11 months since I paid the down payment.
I took my clothes and stuffed them all on the shelf in my cabin.
I dug out all my blow-upables and blew them up. I have no clue about what I'll need to dock. Something in that pile should work. I always got the board, too.
