So, it's been winter. My car battery died. Ben did a slow motion 5 MPH slide off the road at the corner in his car. Luckily, that telephone pole was there to halt the process. His car is in the shop. The cats absolutely refused to go outside. I started to think about the final steps to the launch. The cold snap snapped, unsnapped and re-snapped in a few short days. The snow melted, then came back.
Most folks would be hopping up and down, east and west, to get this boat thing finished. I'm sure that You're thinking "What's that idiot doing??? Why isn't he out there stuck in Cartagena and enjoying the good life?" I am considering all the nuances, thinking through the process as best I can to facilitate the assembly and avoiding the monkey-football thing (not explaining that). I am lazy..............................
Good news everyone. The USCG has issued the Dog a Hull Identification Number (HIN). That's progress. I applied initially in October and it seems they have processed the paperwork. Same old adage: "The best time to plant a tree is 30 years ago".
