Budgetboater took off today heading for Mexico for a few days of much needed vacation. Ben and I will press on. After living in a 250 square foot place for many months, we decided to take a vacation ourselves. We won't be leaving for a week, so I will have one more building post before we go. We haven't killed each other yet, but I see Ben sharpening his knife over there. Ben has an opportunity to visit his mom and I decided to go along back to Ohio for a couple weeks. We need to regroup for the final push. So, to all my Ohio friends: email me and I'll send you my Skype phone number. I am planning to see some live music and just hang out. Our goal is to get the interiors most of the way done and move to the exterior when we get back. So we glued in the galley ladder. We will paint those glue areas. Most of the week was doing boring stuff in the port center cabin/ chartroom/ head. We glued in the support dividers for the shelves at the foot of the bunk. We glued in the SSB shelf (note the use of spreader clamps to hold it in). After lots and lots of sanding, lots and lots of vacuuming and lots and lots of wiping down every square inch of cabin, we put a coat of epoxy on all the bare wood. Then we skim coated the glass reinforced tumblehome areas to level the surface. So all we have to do is put on the second coat of epoxy to the area, sand and sand and sand and vacuum and damp mop everything and primer coat a couple times and paint. That's all! Piece of cake! I know that we can get this done before we leave, I hope. This is a pretty uninteresting week In the blogomonium world, But tedium is the way things get done. Oh yeah, budgetboater's son asked to put him in the website: There, Budgetboater junior! I've done my part.
