Holy crappoli, it's the middle of April! If I could just get out of the galley, I'll be happy. I am making the galley table swing up out of the way as well as come off to serve as a bunk, I had it all planned out: Removable hinges, etc. Except the hinge had to be repositioned because it wouldn't clear the cabin top.
And I had to widen the bunk support area. And make and glue in some support blocks for the legs.
I also worked on the cabinet doors fitting them into the openings. Boat building tip: don't make curvey shit.
Sheesh, that's blurry. Ben went on his way painting the forward starboard cabin and started on the aft starboard cabin.
I ain't no Neil. My paint scheme for walls runs the gamut from cool white to warm white, sometimes off white. The exterior will be a different story.
Smoking meat is the official state religion of Texas. At the big garage sale, Budgetboater scored a nice smoker, Ben and I decided to do an 18 hour smoke. We smoked everything we could find: chicken, brisket, ribs, pork shoulder, sausages. We'll be belching smoke for a month. It was goooooood. Lots of stuff in the freezer.
We had a couple of rainy days that slowed us down. Budgetboater got out and managed a bit of fairing. This is one of his fortes. We may get back to visible progress soon..................or am I dreaming?
OK, Something horrible, now. Ben is appalled, he said that he has had this song bring him to tears. I commented that so will this version!
Chuck! Send money!
