The temperature last Saturday was in the middle 60's. I don't speak metric, so I don't know what that is in Celsius. Monday's temperature topped out at 32°. I was walking around in a t-shirt on Saturday and was huddling in the house on Monday. I think you convert Fahrenheit to Centigrade by taken the temperature, dividing it by the square root of pi, and either adding or subtracting 32, depending on whether its an even or odd day of the month,. I spent Monday dismantling my used Rutland wind generator that I got cheap and attempting to put new bearings. I got stymied (hey, wasn't that one of the Little Rascals?) by the lack of a bearing puller. Now I'm tripping over a box of parts awaiting a tool. Ben is still not back yet. Problems with the truck starter. He tried to fix it, but It was stymied (the word of the day) by a broken inaccessible bolt. I pressed on but the weather threw a curve by breaking our water pipe creating a beautiful ice formation. I fixed it and put a bit of insulation around the pipes. The weather didn't improve until late Thursday, and by Saturday it was beautiful again. I worked on making a cone shaped pedestal for the toilet. I glued up a stack of 18 mm (3/4") plywood. Then I drilled a hole in the center. I tilted the band saw table, clamped a piece of plywood with a hole in it on the table at the proper distance. I put a bolt through the hole in in the stack and into the hole in the board and cut a circle (mostly). I sanded it a bit and filled in the oopses with thickened e-pox-e. So it will look something like this. No, it looks exactly like this. Budget boater and Mrs. Boater trimmed and planed the side decks. I coated the head countertop with epoxy. I'll eventually varnish over it. I shaped a board that will become galley doors. I am still wrestling (stymied) with the furniture in the galley and main cabin. Do I really need a chart table???? We are rethinking our work process. We were going to cut out a bunch of parts and glue them up when we needed them, Then we figured that that would create a bunch of parts piles that we would be tripping over and be in the way. Storage is the death of everything. The first time I saw him, I was blown away. I've been a fan ever since. Who else writes a sensitive song about Tiger Woods.
