So with Christmas finally eradicated for the year, I look forward to the new year. I make no lists. I'd never check them, not even once. I resolve to make no resolutions. I succeed. No, wait, was that a resolution?
To those of you that read last week's post before Christmas, I had to clean up the post and add a picture on Wednesday. Sometimes things don't go right.
So with Christmas finally eradicated for the year, I look forward to the new year. I make no lists. I'd never check them, not even once. I resolve to make no resolutions. I succeed. No, wait, was that a resolution?
The absolute best Christmas decoration I've seen this year! The true spirit of Christmas. With a couple tries, everything was spelled right...................mostly.
I proceeded with the efforts to put gadgets in the water. I glued up the transducer swing arm thingy. The weather was too cold for epoxy work, so I helped friend, Joe, make a tent in his unheated shop so he could glue up a project he's been working on for over a year. He stuck a space heater in it and it warmed it up nicely. I got to glue up my arm beginnings.
I dry assembled the Sail-O-Mat and attempted to calculate where to put the mounting bracket. It was not a simple endeavor. The thing is quite the contraption. Like most things on boats, there was no reference points. So you get it close, clamp the crap out of it, tie lines on it so you don't provide a Christmas present to Davy Jones and wrangle the whole shebang onto the precariously clamped bracket. More to come.
A sailor's lot.....
