In the afternoon, it was time for Ben to mix his first batch of glue to glue the reinforcing supports for the stringers.
So, on Thursday, I cut a deal with Budgetboater to watch the kids while he worked on the boat. Our problem was he has the knowledge and skills in his head, so when Ben and I do something, we have to ask him questions and even then, end up doing it wrong. When we were finishing the house, all these ideas and methods of work were in my head to Ben's frustrations. It's been a long time since I watched kids and I surely am not used to it. Budg. and Ben worked out the front and rear deck support stringers situations. In the afternoon, it was time for Ben to mix his first batch of glue to glue the reinforcing supports for the stringers. He mixed epoxy, coated the pieces. And before we could get them all glued....... The epoxy went off. Heat and humidity cause the epoxy to harden quickly, very quickly. I had to go back to babysitting while Budg. came out to assist Ben with the glueing (you have to keep stirring the epoxy). Now the supports for the stringers are in and on Sunday Ben and I coated the inside of the two areas with epoxy. We glue stringers tomorrow The late Stan Rogers. "Lies" You know the music is not themed to the daily blog. It's just nice to hear.
