The Boat, The All Consuming Boat

Everything we do concerns the boat. We get up and work on the boat. It sucks our time, stifles our creativity, empties our wallet, and destroys our drive. If we work a good day and stop, we still have to make supper. We don't have time to plan something and we end up eating late. Conversation has been limited to boat related discussions. There is no other stimulation sources. We plod on...... I'm sick of working on the beams. I'm sick of coatings, re-coatings, painting, repainting. I'm sick of epoxy. I'm sick of being sick for the last week. I'm sick of the rainy weather. I'm sick of figuring when we will get the boat on the water. I have no drive to start anything new because the boat comes first. If anyone decides to cheer me up with a chipper comment, I will personally come to them and choke the living crap out of them. OK, here's a picture:

Mmmmmmmmm...............flowers. Thanks for the comment from Boatergirl, who will do anything to escape from boat labor, even to the extent of visiting her mother.

Ben touched up some minor repairs on the new boat, The Crown. He put a new plywood brace into the outboard motor mount. The one with the stripes is the plywood. The one with the teeth is Ben. He fixed some minor dings. He worked under the boat. The fire ants didn't like that.................... Minor boat repair below. No picture of fire ant bites.

You haven't seen clamps for a while, so...................

He also officially finally finished the mast case by screwing on the final access panel.

That one. We also worked off and on on the beams. If it wasn't raining. If Ben and I weren't too woozy and lightheaded. The finished end of the beam looks like this. It's an I-beam, shaped Like an I and built by I, a joy to the eye, Ay Yi Yi.

Ben is still putting coats of paint on hatches......................will this crap ever end?
Picture
One more beam to finish, then something else.......

The Music ♫: Agam "The Boat Song"
