Hang Time

When my brother was transitioning to another job later in life, he said about the new career "It's all hang time": hanging in there until you become established. maybe it's the key to everything. Woodie Allen said that 80 percent of success is showing up. So the building of boats is not so different. If you make the decision, all you have to do is start. This is my problem. The hardest thing to do every day is take the first step out the door.

That said, I didn't. This week, after reading a few books and watching a bunch of football games that I didn't care who won, I stirred from my lethargy and started doing things like the big wire order, hundreds of feet of wire. I'll end up spending more on the electrical system than on the masts and sails. 

​I am still working on catching the invading trash pandas with a trap. We caught one so far and he went to the "farm". Sorry folks it's all about the saturated ecosystem and the spread of diseases. I feel like a cur..................

Front side..................... Reeling from money shock I bought a sheet of Doug Fir marine ply to build the battery box. It's not as good as the Meranti, but it will work

Back side..............................  There you have it, my weak week in review. We are filled with joy upon the promise of a new year.................... well, we're full of something, anyway. Santa didn't bring the Rolls Surette batteries I asked for..................................... Have a new year in spite of us. I celebrated the advent of the new year in my customary fashion: two time zones east of my current location. It's much simpler, I don't have to bother with all the rocket launch tabulating. I don't have to participate in the necessicary contrived frivolity and act a fool. I am enough of a fool without help from others.
