Delays this week included rain, dentists, transportation consternation, heat, cold, material shortages, and Rocky, the unhurried upholsterer, who stopped in to take measurements and money. I suppose I should insert some drivel about success or dreams here, but I won't. Instead, I'll drag you through the drudgery of the week's efforts. There's nothing like reality to further dampen your already soggy enthusiasm. You could always watch cat videos...........or my new one (I'd choose the cats). Budge says it's out of focus. I'll tell the autofocus, epoxy encrusted, dropped too many times, aging camera to do better. I have to do this in one take as I cannot edit, crop, add graphics, or apply a soundtrack to it. Video requires time to do it right and I no longer have the time or desire to do it right. Just take what you get and call it art or charm.
So, here we sit.........close. We drained a bunch of years of our life force, on this and now we're close. Was it a good decision? I dunno. I do not contemplate the sagacity of the decision or wonder if it was something we should have started. Basically it served as a life shaping experience. My life was not going in any particular direction and this was as good as anything else, I guess. We all learned stuff, good and bad. Life is just getting through it. You never come out alive, so you bluff your way, telling yourself and others that you're doing something about a dream. People like that. I don't know why. I'm sure they don't either.

Budge perfected (????) the steering so if you turned the wheel to starboard, it would go starboard.
Budge had me make this. Boats is complicated things.
And you make weird things like this.
Budge proceeded to work on mast #2, or is it #1? It's the forward mast.
We wrestled with getting the wiring harness through the proper spaces.
I tiled the galley. There's more to go. Those who have worked with tile will understand. Those that have not will think it's magic. The satisfaction is internal.
Oh, yeah, we got the roller thingy in, finally. I drilled mounting holes and epoxied them and ordered some bolts of the correct length. So, onward C̶h̶r̶i̶s̶t̶i̶a̶n̶ cretin soldiers!
I met a man who's name was time who said "I must be going"..................This is one of my favorite songs. Written by Robin Williamson.
