Oh Crap! It's October. This week was Interesting??? Maybe not........ I glued the hull stiffeners on the hull of the Mirror. Picture, please.
On Tuesday, we had the great airport adventure. Ben's flight was off again, on again, off again until they booked him on an alternate airline. He arrived on time, I wondered around the airport a while. Does "baggage claim" mean arrivals????? Why is there two levels to a terminal??? Why is this airport look like it's perpetually under construction???? Why can't you drive past all gates in the terminal??? SO, I parked and lost the brakes on the truck in the parking garage. I wandered around terminal "A" until I discovered Ben came in on gate 28, not 14 (I also had to pee). We got back to the truck to find a huge pool of brake fluid under the rear of the truck. We drove back with no rear brakes and partial front brakes. They worked as long as you didn't use them much. I love standard transmissions; you can drive 90 odd miles with minimal brakes. Ok...boring you.........another picture.
Hey........ same junk, different angle. What can I say................... Wednesday was take the truck in. Ya don't wanna know................ Thursday was goddammitweneeedanewbeltsanderday. I was working on the Mirror and our standing belt sander had died a month ago, and I needed it, so we went to Harbor Freight and bought a new cheezy belt sander, on sale. We hope it works as well as the cheezy Craftsman sander it replaces. Picture please..
We flipped the Mirror over and glued on the last bits: gunwales {gunnl's to us hardy (hardly) sailors}. The required many, many clamps (what else is new?).
Budgetboater worked on something,.....................something about hatches. Those hatch designs have changed so many times, no one knows what they'll look like, least of all, me (or him)......
Ben made those things.......they go somewhere...................it took him all week! Sheesh, what kinda week was this? Sorry to disappoint you. Tomorrow, tomorrow..............................
