Another Week In The Toilet, Figuratively and Literally

I was two days sick, drinking pink liquid, expelling the three states of matter and sleeping a day and a night. I spent one day trying to decide if I ever wanted to eat again. I spent three days drinking as much water as I could in an attempt to turn my pee from the color of "Dog" to the color of "Gleda". I'm OK.

The bike got stolen, and my cheap cell phone, and the senile GPS unit, mostly trash,

We couldn't find parts for the windlass. We think the orientation key is permanently gone. The control box is God knows where and two threaded rods are missing. We had them at one point.

The wind generator wouldn't spin properly.

The reluctant outboard motor is running better, but still needs work and giving Robbie a "challenge". Robbie only works alone in the dark of the night by candlelight when he can perform his incantations without fear of being burned at the stake. He has changed the color of the smoke from grey to white. Heavy stuff, man, heavy stuff

You know what they say. If God gives you lemons, screw it all!

Boat building is fun stuff. Someday, somehow, someway, sometime, something will go right. I am somewhat discouraged. No, wait, there's a sunbeam! I'm standing in it and it's pushing 90°! Awwwwwwwwww............

My jaunty cap. Ben wore it and kept cool with it. I am trying to make it lived in, like I did something. I have the short version of the serenity prayer pinned to  the side(the red button).

James Taylor wrote "Sweet Dreams and flying machines in pieces on the ground". In my attempt to make the wind generator spin, I cracked the magnet. It's garbage.

There! I found a used one on line. It's on the way: good money after bad. Nothing going right.
I spent most of my week working on this flimsy h0use-of-cards contraption to support the last of the solar panels. The (ex) wind generator pole was supposed to support the last two solar panels. The overall support was crap that needed work, so Budge and I decided to just add it to the aft of the cockpit top, cutting down the supports we already had. I put the thing roughly together using clamps so I had an idea where everything went, It fell apart several times and I utilized the extent of my bowelship language to voice my emotions into the ether to no avail. The basic problem was to get everything straight and plumb. The joint was supposed to line up on the seat back supports, but no matter what I did, it missed. I decided to then just screw it to the seat back itself. I lined up everything as perfect as I could get and marked the spot where the support brackets would go, I took everything back apart and drilled the first hole. It went right through the seat back. I forgot that that back was made of 3 mm plywood and that there was nothing to attach it to, just air. Now I had to cut down a couple pieces of wood for cleats and attach them to the seat back. This took the better part of today, as I needed to do epoxy work and I had other things to finish so I could epoxy them, too. I finally got the epoxy work done late today. Now I have to rebuild the house-of-cards to align everything again to the new cleat thickness,

I have to rework the swim ladder steps. I knew it was coming. It was a bad idea. The steps twist.
Some of the epoxy work: the gaffs. Holes for the topping lift, holes for the outhaul. Coat the throat, coat the ends.

The Music♫: Dando Shaft "Magnetic Beggar"

I always liked this song. I stopped doing autoplay. Apparently the happy people of the internet are insulted by having to listen to music. I pity their souls......................
