Life trudges on I spent some money on boat parts. I read books. I cooked. I worked in my home shop. I watched movies. I stared at the fire in the fireplace. I organized my screws and bolts.....What? Mostly I opened doors for cats. Why can't they open the damn do0r themselves? They just stare at it and I dutifully open it. Women used to do it, too, maybe they still do. I am abled in door arts. It's being a door-able person. I won't explain ......................
I dream about boats again. We have to finish the boat and get out before they close the borders. No, wait, we'll just go around the end like everyone else. We will stay one more week. I want to thank my two blog followers for sticking with me through the boredom and lack of juicy tidbits of boat lore and construction tricks and techniques. Come to think of it, we never had any. What is it, again, why you read this?

Mmmmmmmmmmmm.................apple pie! Here I am showing pictures of pie. This is supposed to be one of those "You Can Have Your Dream" blogs. A blog about dreams, boats, sailing the seas and showing you that you. too, can achieve your heartfelt desires. When's the last time you baked a homemade pie? This is a dream you can achieve right now with less complications than building a boat. Don't forget the ice cream, or that slice of cheddar if you're from Wisconsin.
I applied the first coat of finish to the wenge box. No, it's not a box that I keep my wenge in. Keep your minds out of the gutter, folks. Wenge is an African wood. I am using some teak oil. I don't know why they call it teak oil, unless so they can charge boaters triple the price. It's not like the Brazilian rosewood nut oil that we used on the deck. Teak produces no oil, rosewood nuts do. This stuff is just the old standby tung oil, from tung nut seed oil diluted in solvents. I usually make my own, but I had some teak oil laying around. I'll wait until tomorrow and apply another coat. I'll apply three or four coats and maybe a coat of wax.
