Thanksgiving

Apparently I have been  neglecting my comments. I've been neglecting everything. Anyway, a thankya to Miss Priss for the comment. Yeah, those hatch latches were unnecessarily complex. There is absolutely no way I can justify that method.  There is no cure for stupid. The only consolation I have is that they are only on the aft hatches where I seldom go and the chain you suggest would rattle around and scratch up the wood.  Cat T. Cat came from the Humane Society. He was picked up on the street (24th and M) a couple months before I paroled him. 24th & M would have been a good name for him, but I wouldn't remember it. He has become a legend around here. He sleeps next to me as I write................

Things are fine in this ol' marina. The local colorful drunkard is laid up for a spell and we cannot find a replacement so we are all taking turns.........................

The Sail-O-Mat is all but finished. I removed all the bolts, which were stainless in the  aluminum and greased them up with Tef-Gel and reassembled them. I removed the roller and ball bearings, cleaned them with paint thinner, greased them up and re-assembled them. I still have 3 galled bolts to work loose and grease. They are sprayed down with Blaster and soaking. I'm pouring a whisky and soaking.

I pondered a lot about the beam repair. I thought. I napped. I procrastinated. I started. First a scarf. Next cut off the top of the I beam. First try a multitool.................not so good. Next try a hand power planer. Oh poo, something is wrong with it and it won't turn on.

The music♪: Mary Gauthier "Thanksgiving"

And you have an OK Thanksgiving, you two semi loyal followers. Remember those less fortunate than you who all seem to be down here in Galveston asking me for spare change wherever I go.
