Dog In The Water (Must Be A Spaniel)!

So, again, further proof that God reads this blog. The cold front accelerated.  Monday proved to be unworkable. The temperature hit the low 40's, the wind hit the mid 20's from the north. The bottom paint needed at least 40 degrees to work. The hulls had to be that temperature. There was no sun. That ended that. Tuesday was more of the same. In the grand picture Monday became Wednesday and Tuesday became Thursday and Thursday was repeated Friday and Saturday was a mess.

And Ken, ATW, and David have a lot more enthusiasm and confidence than I had. I thank them and think them to be as crazy as I. And Hey to My buddy, Nick. You two followers have been great!

I don't know where to start, so I'll just start.
Picture
It was Wednesday late by the time I got the boat lifted.
Picture
I rolled bottom paint on the spots. The shoe on the bottom of the keel took some hits. I'll fix it the next time.

Thursday morning we launched. Well, waddayaknow, it floats! Well waddayaknow, it leaks!
The day of reckoning had arrived. It was time to pay the bill. I asked for the invoice. They handed it over. I read page after page becoming more and more bilious. my complexion turned  a shade of green akin to the hull color. I finally just went to the final figure. It was huuuuuuge! My brain was calculating where I would get this money.  The final item on the invoice read: Fee for bothering the yard crew: $1000. I looked up they were grinning like Cheshire cats. They set me up. They must have been planning this for months. I was Perfectly pranked. They gave me the real bill. It was only huge. I'll have to gut 3 bank accounts to cover it. I hate parting with money. I worked hard for it and live frugally.

That day we pulled the boat back out of the water. I was beginning to think of the boat as a tea bag. By the next morning it was back in it's original spot (sigh).
Robbie lent me his tool (??). Ben lent me his bar. I unscrewed, gooped up and re-screwed the through hulls. Only two leaked.......I only have two

I waited and watched for the crew to show back up
Deja vue two: the re-dunk.
Picture
The boat sits too low in the water. I will have to lighten her up. I kept a lot of stuff and I'll have to balance the hulls. I ran the motors today. They still need adjustment. Now they are harder to work on.
Picture
Now what? I wanted to drive away today and the motors are not right yet. The original plan crumbled to dust. God is laughing. I was supposed to move onto the boat but that was on to a completely functioning boat. Too many variables yet......................................................

The Music♫: Norma Tanega "walking My Cat Named dog"

It should be a happy song.
