Every Day I Want To Quit

I am sure that you two followers of this website must be weary of not seeing the happy Wharramonian in the water and venturing forth on great journeys of discovery and adventure.  I guess I am also. I look forward to achieving one accomplishment per day. The small victories. Ben is into little victories and it's a great enjoyment. Every day I want to quit. Every day I don't quit. Every day I want to stop and do nothing Every day I do something. Every day I accomplish some little victory.

I see that a lot of bloggers are still willing to accept your money so they can compare their lifestyle to yours and rub your nose in the fact that their lifestyle is way so much better than yours. Ya gotta see the skinny bikini girl cry to ad pathos to the whole experience. Ya gotta have videos. Who would pay for that?? If I had a dollar for everyone that followed this website I'd have, lemmesee.......... two whole dollars! Heady stuff. I need a sign that says "VICARIOUS LIVING: $1.00." See the "Donate" page above.

So what is my current status? I work on something every day. I now take a day off on Sundays. I have a zillion receipts fluttering and cluttering up the car. It's all small stuff, stainless this propane that, a chunk of wood, a bit of paint, lunch.  I am starting to feel better about the complete boat.

I decided to attack the propane hose. I had to route it from the aft deck (the safest place to store potential bombs). Any spilled propane is outside falling through the deck spacing. The rubber seal directions say "drill a hole in the rubber the size of the hose. Huh? it's flubbery. rubbery. I started with a smaller pilot hole, but when i switched to the larger bit, it all went south. It's rubber. Drag out the rattail file and make it a close proximity of a round hole. I guess it's OK.
Now, inside the hull at 90°,  I wanted to keep the hose away from the stove as much as possible routing it away from the stove and through the cabinet sot that it came out below the stove in the rear. I had the requisite amount of consternation, frustration, perspiration, cogitation, trips to the hardware store and.......wait for it...........Bowlship Language!!! I made some hose clamps smaller to mount the hole securely. I also had to glue a block to the hull so I could screw the valve securely in place. I'll be using that valve a lot, as it normally will be in the "off" position for safety purposes.
I worked on the wind generator. I mounted it to the pole (mast) and welded up some cracks in the plastic. I re-scuffed the nose cone and painted it. I need some 1" stainless for supports.
Picture
See that? It's the support for a neighbor's wind generator. I need that for my 1½" wind generator pole (mast). On to the interweb! Oh crap, I don't know what it's called. It clamps on  to the mast and has an ear with  a hole to bolt the angle braces to it. A clampon?? Nope, but I like the name. I cannot find it at all. I found something that may or may not work, so I threw money at it and prayed. It will be in next week. Is absolutely everything  difficult? Oh never mind, I know............

Ahh, the very sturdy swim ladder I built last week.   It's wrong. I should have put the treads at a 45° angle instead of a 90° angle. Awwwwwww........................
Picture
I blew up the garage sale table saw trying to cut some tread angle correction pieces. I was boned. Awwwwww...
Picture
But wait, boat neighbor, Todd loaned me his good saw for a day. Huzzah!
Picture
I made those. I'll let you know if it's good.

I got tired of the junk, clutter and grit. I cleaned and swept under the hulls. That sandblasting grit goes everywhere,
Picture
I also got fed up with not being able to find my generic gray car with the bland ubiquitous styling in the parking lot, I lose it all the time. So red five toed imperial Chinese door dragons should help.
Picture
And lastly, the paleontological find of the century. Right there in the boat yard, a fossilized complete skeleton of an ancient multi legged wiresaurus (wy-re-saw-rus) in situ! I will call the department of rocks and report it.

So there you have it, for what it's worth..........
