First off, thanx to Ilfors for sending me pictures of his pod mod  on his Tiki 38 (How come there are so many crazies building 38's?). He Has built a nice, snug pod with plenty of light. A couple pix. It will be kinda like ours. THIS IS NOT OUR BOAT!

And..............

Blue bottom, white top. And thanks to Rune, who looks forward to my explanation of dorade boxes. Don't say I didn't warn you! The weather continues to be quite good, though we lost a day to rain and a day to go get tires for the truck, Ol' (T)Rusty. The week was mostly wrap up everything and put a bow (not bow) on it. So................gotta look at the pictures as I cannot remember what we did. I suffer from CRS (can't remember squat).

So we sanded the tumblehomes and applied a fairing coat to them and let them sit. All that's left is a few hours finish sanding , priming and painting. Budge will finish it while we are in Ohio. Just a small job. The weather, cooling off, permits us to work about 4 hours. If we are using epoxy, the window of work (W.O.W) is shorter. Less WOW less pow, go now.
Picture
We also worked the beam troughs with a final sand and a couple coats of primer. This finished them enough to leave. I dawdled  with the dorades and diddled the details so that they are mostly done.
Picture
This fuzzily focused photo is a bit of the details. It is a Stainless Steel Spring Loaded Quick Release Humpback Cotter Pin (according to EBay) attached to a 1" Stainless Steel Split Ring. It will hold the cowl securely to the dorade tubes. I don't know if it's a dawdle or a diddle.

The Music♪: John Prine "Christmas in Prison"

Here is your annual Christmas carol. This is for the Brown Recluse, who told me the first thing she does when she opens this site is turn off the music. Closed mind at 13 does not bode well for the next generation. We're packed and ready. Time for the annual pilgrimage to Ohio bearing franks intense and mirth. So God rest ye barely, gentlemen.
