Hot But Doing something

Hey and a hey to Sergey for his encouraging words. And a hey and a hey to Olivier, may he finish his endeavors. I know that you're looking for my a̶d̶e̶p̶t̶  inept sailing adventures Out there upon the briny blue. There is much to do, much. The good part is that I am beginning to concentrate on that much (but not all that much).

The weather is hot. That's "really hot" on the heat index. In metric that's "tres chaud".

"Tardigrades in Space" reads the headlines and now thy're colonizing the moon. Good ol' internet. There's a si-fi movie in there somewhere. They morph to 10 times their size and attack humans. Wait, 10 times their size would be an inch long. It needs some work.
I needed to organize the anchors. The anchor rope needed to be spliced to the anchor chain. To the internet! Ooooooooooooooooooooo, tardigrades in space! No wait, I covered that already. Oh yeah, anchor chain splicing. Why do the video makers have to prattle on so much? Who cares about how they came to make this video and, no, I won't subscribe. I commenced. I took it back apart. I re-commenced. I had lines going down. I had lines coming up. I had lines sticking out. I had tape everywhere. It seems like the concept of splicing is utilizing the Chinese finger trap principle to affix the two dissimilar materials together. So with trial and error. I managed to get a decent splice that successfully made it's circumnavigation of the windlass........... Then I had to do it again. I ended up with a pile of taped rope cut offs.

I worked on hatch hasps...........................to latch the hatch, natch.
