I Can't Think Of A Title

Another week shot full of holes. Is time accelerating? If Steven Hawking is reading this, let me know. What did we do this week? I dunno. Oh, yeah, Budgetboater was a busy bee. He got all the beam troughs glued in. For the uninitiated, these are the troughs that the beams go in. Budgetboater is so disgusted with these that he wants to eliminate them altogether when he builds his Narai!  It would save a lot of time.

He then installed the aft (daft) cabin hatch coamings. I had cut these a long time ago. They are trapezoidal in shape. We have decided to build the rest of the structures (motor wells, pod) with wood reinforcements instead of fillets like the older Wharram designs. The first hatch has the wood corners.

Ben was once again doing things in the galley cabin. Stuff like painting things.

I was going bonkers working on the ladder stuff.

Filling in the grain.

And Ben was going bonkers, period. So we went to the big city for a day: Waco, Texas, home of Dr. Pepper. We bought groceries and tools and a PVC pipe elbow to cut into a cowl vent. 

And stair tread to cut into strips for the ladder nonslip.

We realized (20/20 hindsite)  that we forgot some reinforcing plates for the beam troughs (the troughs where the beams go).

So I cut 3 plates. Now we have to sand the paint off the starboard forward cabin to install one of them. Did I say 20/20 hindsight???????

Ben has given up on Windows 8 (Crap personified) and installed Windows 7. Yeah, I know you followers of the great god, Jobs, say "buy a Mac". I had an acquaintance that repaired both types of computers and he loved the fruit ones because he could charge a lot more to fix them.
