Like Christmas Eve, We're Wrapping Things Up.

I think I'm doing it wrong. I think you're supposed to start out enamored with the whole dream thing, then become disillusioned with the whole mess. You build and become slightly dubious about what you started those oh so many years ago, but you continue with faith in the dream that you still convince yourself you want. I think I missed that. I started as a reluctant boat builder. I knew that I did not want to go through the process. Now that the build  is coming to an end, I  may be more enthusiastic, I'm not sure. Next I must play the  cards I dealt myself. Did I want to build a boat or sail a boat?  I no longer remember. I think that I should be happy. I think about the next chapter, or is it the epilogue? I have been thinking of only now for so long that I don't remember what the dream entails. Happiness as a concept is about doing OK right now. If you look for it, you find you missed it in the search: It was in the joy of the hunt. Enough of my scrambled ramblings. I am making myself ill. As usual, my attempts at delivering pearls of golden wisdom are more like drops of golden whizz. 

I am shoveling money at upholstery stuff, now. We sent off requests for standing rigging. We had only one response. most rigging companies are on the coasts. Harvey and Irma (the double whammy: Houston and Miami)) are taking care of that for me....................sigh! Mexico has earthquakes and hurricanes (their unique spin on the double whammy). 

​From the beginning we said that the boat will be finished by a Christmas. Looks like it might be this one.

I painted the pod top. I ran out of paint. I have to buy more. It looks good. Next budge has to work on the solar panels brackets.  

The wiring. Budge has this planned to perfection (mostly); he's still figuring out the pod. I tiptoe away.......

My life of late. All this crap goes someplace. I designed some secret compartments into the design of the boat. Most people would brag and show you, but IT'S A SECRET! Two can keep a secret only if one of them is dead. I'll spare you two guys, so I won't have to hunt you down.

Mattress and upholstery stuff. Rocky was supposed to come today. Rocky is a might cavalier about appointments. I'm beginning to wonder.......

So our fancy turns to thoughts of standing rigging. The coasts are toast, so we press on on our own. I am currently head banging about purchasing the materials to do it ourselves.  This is the blind leading the bland.

So it was a boring post again this week. Thank y'all for letting me howl at the moon in the wilderness.........where no one listens.
