I used to burn my bridges behind me. I stopped, discovering that they burn on their own whether I am involved or not. All I can do is press on. We made it back to Ohio, a two day drive. We took a couple days rest (Reds ball game- blew it in the top of the first) before catching up on some projects. Thanks for the comments from my two blog followers Nicky, Rune, and Ken, ATW. I hope you two can stomach my missives as I do other stuff. I suggest that you alternate weeks then tell each other how crappy it was. I have some projects here involving firewood, smoker refurbishment, exterior Baltic birch and wenge. I hope to accomplish something. There's a new hardwoods yard in the area and they can provide the things I need......maybe. The wenge is providing difficulty. We first need to do nothing for a while. Everything seems to be on order but that's OK. We left on Monday and it seems that nothing is progressing (Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.....). We made a pilgrimage to the local thrift store to replenish our epoxy and paint encrusted wardrobe with 9¢ tee shirts and shorts for Ben.

The fauna. Here it consists of a backyard deer, a family of diggers (groundhogs), mosquitos, and the above mantis. I'll have to mow the flora!
Before we left I did accomplish something. This is the final hand shaped beam trough side cheek (Yay!). I still have to glue them in when we get back using last week's weak sneak tweak technique (yawn).

Ben made a new mast support for his boat to travel. We have it here now. What can I say, we're on vacation......................... So until next week, when the blog posting will be worse than this. God save you all................
