So I have a solid offer for the boat. It will be happening fast. By November! I sit here with mixed feelings trying to sort it all out. I will move on to a new old life. A old dream for lack of any other term. I'll live on back in Ohio. It is the dream before-the-boat dream. I have much work to do, I'll be catching up with old, postponed dreams. I just spent time at home. I did the mundane. I planted rhubarb. I cleaned the garage. I fixed the plumbing. Still dreams, looking forward, pursuit of the next rainbow, rhubarb pie, winding clocks. Sailing is just traveling to the next mundane, Maybe it's the human condition. I got stuff to do and the boat got in the way. It was me letting it go.

So everyone wave to Albert, the new owner. Will he blog? I dunno. I'll let him decide.

The Music: Loudon Wainright "Road Ode"

The glamor.......................

The Music: Stan Rogers "Northwest Passage"

At the end of the quest, there's the road home. It was what we were looking for, only we didn't know it.

Greetings all,
Albert here and yes, I am tickled to have come to an agreement with Chuck to take over the helm from Chuck for his labor of love and blank, blank and blank. . (read the blog to fill in the blanks).

I appreciate the labors, continuous efforts and shear tenacity required to get S/V Dog to this stage, the nearly ready to go sailing stage.

It is completely clear to me that I could not have done what Chuck, Ben and Budge have done. It just is not in me. What is in me, is sailing as frequently and regularly as possible and doing it on a well built, well designed boat for an old dude to live on and sail (alone if necessary).

I caught the sea bug early in life and love being on the ocean. I caught the Wharram bug in the last few years as I dreamed of retiring on a sailboat in south Florida and other parts equally as warm.

I will be vlogging of sorts and will work out the details to keep this blog up and living, as long as I am the Captain, as a tribute to what it takes to follow your dream of building the famous or infamous Wharram Tiki 38.

Thanks Chuck, Ben and Budge for a stable and safe platform to begin my dream of living on a sailboat!⛵
