First off a big thankya to friend Tom who sent a link to a podcast site about boats. Uhhhhhhhhhhhh, what's a podcast?? Anyway it seems to once again feature a young chipper couple off to sail on that once again great adventure. I am sure she's thin and has a stockpile of bikinis to wear in the photos. I am once again sure that I won't follow it, even if I can figure out that podcast thing. I have evolved away from vicarious adventures. Boat theory pales in comparison to the reality I suffer through.
I work on. Up in my home village the difference between it and Galveston is that the weird people here don't ask you for money. Chances are they have a lot of money.
I have to get back. In order to do it, I have to Finish the things I started. I have had a couple extra hinderances that slowed down the the progress. You know, the extra stuff that you weren't planning to do but had to do anyway.
I am so not excited about going back to Galvez Town, where the temperatures are well above 90. Here, I sleep with a light blanket.
So this trip is all about putting my (some) affairs in order. I have goals. To get my sons settled in their respective lives and feel confidant about going off by myself and messing around in boats. It involved breaks with the past, order in the universe, and knowing that I can go.
​Right now I'm in South Carolina. That hurricane has passed. My little semi family is together for a bit.
