Flies, of course.

OK, OK so I said a while ago that I would post something. Lemmesee, that was two or three hurricanes ago. All of them turned right and creamed Louisiana.  Poor Louisiana. The last one, yesterday, had a bunch of wind.

I want to thank everyone for those twelve comments. I already have a garage door opener, thank you and I deleted your remarks, except for Ed who voted to name the tender "Chicken" and didn't try to sell me a garage door opener. Dingy it is, then,

After weeks in the shop, the Rubber Puppy returned rejuvenated so that it could hold air.
For Sale: Rubber Puppy. Has patch kit, hillbilly stomp air pump, air floor and  4 other air chambers to blow up, grrrrrrrrrrrr.

The new (50 year old) dinghy needed a few improvements, enhancements and general spiffying. So I did a few things. I glued fire hose to the gunwale to ease the damage when encountering other boats. The oarlocks were loose in their seats so I bought some inserts so they wouldn't flop around. The old oarlocks didn't fit the new bushings so I bought new oarlocks, I waterproofed the fire hose by applying a generous coat (crust) of a 50/50 mixture of beeswax and parafin wax. I then heated the crust with a heat gun and the crust melted, wicking into the fabric thus making it resistant to water. I  installed the oarlocks on the oars with new bushings and some rope as a stop to prevent the oarlocks from sliding up and down the oars. Today I applied the name decals. It's mostly done. I launch today or so.
